This is a great time of year to take advantage of the different opportunities to learn about bees and bee keeping.

The WA State Beekeepers Association is offering the following courses:

WASBA Beginning Beekeeping Course Jan 2, 2023 – Feb 4, 2023

This covers the basics and introduction to beekeeping before one decides to become a bee keeper. This is a 5 week online course with meetings via zoom Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Fee is $50.

WASBA Apprentice Beekeeping Course Feb 06, 2023 – Mar 11, 2023

This course is a little more in depth geared towards someone with at least one year’s experience with bee keeping and wants to keep their own bees. This is a 5 week online course with meetings via zoom Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Fee is $60.

WASBA Journeyman Beekeeping Course May (TBD) - July 2023

This course is for the person that wants to learn more about the science behind bee keeping. Beekeepers must have maintained a colonies for at least 3 years plus several other prerequisites.
