Granny’s favorite is everything but the kitchen sink soup. This is a great mid-winter soup when fresh veggies are rare and we are using what’s left in the root cellar and freezer. It is always a warm welcome on the chill February days!
1 lb- shredded or chopped leftover pre-cooked meat (Turkey, Ham, or whatever you have. Roast works well too. You can also use uncooked meat and adjust the cooking time accordingly)
4- Roasted, baked, or raw chopped potatoes.
Any amount up to a pound of the following:
Left over green beans, carrots, rice, or other vegetable or grain.
1 quart- Chicken or beef soup stock
3 cups your favorite white wine, or water
2 cups chopped celery and/or onions
2 teaspoons sage
2 teaspoons thyme
